As a Manager , I believe in the balance of both types of motivation but when I look at the organisational culture where the Extrinsic motivation factor is not well established I always encourage and empower my people through the Intrinsic , allowing them more time to spend with their families and love ones, not micro manage but give them the power to make decisions and establish controls as it makes them feel important and further more I try to celebrate success within the team and also recognise them with an article so all other organisations departmental nd sites know about my employees as well.
