Leaders know how to build effective teams

One point that wasn't mentionned here is that leaders know how to build effective teams!
From my perspective leaders are not always, and perhaps we could even never, equipped with the full behavioral spectrum of behaviors that will maximize the likely hood of reaching the objective at hand. Hence they need to be aware of this reality and generate a team, that will, by the sum of it's constituent, address and successfully complete all of the sub objectives that will lead them towards their ultimate goal.
By extrapolation, we can conclude that a leader most valuable asset lies in his ability to not only recognize his weaknesses, but in the ability to (1) recognize the strengths of others and (2) have them contribute to his or her objective.
