Gentlemen,
I believe that leaders are humans with higher intelligence who had an opportunity to grow in a supportive surrounding and had the chance to learn and practice skills of management and leadership. So my answer is that leaders are not born as such. They are people with higher than average IQ who got the support and training to become leaders.
