Unfortunately i can't provide you with an answer to your question, as it is currently posed. Please provide me with more details on the context into which the, director i'm assuming, operates in, what industry and what is the general organizational environment where the leading is to occur. Really, the more details i have, the more confident my response will be.

It is very important to understand that leadership is not a one size fit all, being adaptive to your environment, both in leadership style and intensity, is vital for one to have the maximum leadership influence.
