In assessing competency and commitment it is highly subjective and as such is dependent on the leader's view at that point in time. it therefore makes the theory less reliable as it is not truly quantifiable in nature.

Assessment leadership theory gives a very different point of view about the leader and its leadership in a particular situation. I think it's limitations are more than its applicability. I m not the supporter of this theory. I guess it needs a lot of changings.
